This unique itinerary combines the beauty of Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok, with some of the south’s lesser known beach retreats. While many southern regions have become inundated with tourists seeking salt and sand, there are still many getaways that haven’t been discovered! Begin this exploration in Bangkok where 2 days have been set aside to eat, drink, explore and soak up all the wonders that the city has to offer. After some city time it’s time to head southeast where some of Thailand’s lesser known beach escapes await. Tucked near the Cambodian border, the coastal town of Trat provides access to some of Thailand’s most beautiful and unheard of islands. A short ferry ride brings you to Koh Kood, which boasts some of the country’s most stunning beaches. Enjoy two relaxing days on Koh Kood before continuing the island hopping to Koh Mak, which will be your home for the next few days. Relax on Koh Mak at night and during the day enjoy exploring some neighboring islands where the swimming and snorkeling is out of this world. The final stop on the island hop is Koh Chang, which is tucked within Marine National Park. What can you expect here? Some of the world’s best beaches, tastiest seafood, coolest jungle treks and much more. The ideal travel time for this itinerary is between November and April when weather conditions are peak.
