The Kuang Si Falls, sometimes called Kuang Xi or known as Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls is the biggest in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream. The pools also make great swimming holes and are very popular with both tourists and locals.

At the first sight, tourist will be overwhelmed by the wonderful beauty of nature- gifted land. Blue water cascading into turn flours down to the poetic Nam Ou River. Many visitors have to exclaim “A Heaven on the Earth”. Tourists coming to the Kuang Si waterfalls may drop your body in the cool stream. There is nothing more excellent than forgetting worries in your daily life and being massaged in a romantic scene. In the afternoon, the sun is bright, creeping through the leaves into the blue water. It creates a giant rainbow.
